The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) invites applications for its 2025/26 Overseas Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme designed for Nigerians in oil & gas related programmes. The scheme supports full‑time MSc and PhD studies abroad at approved partner universities in the UK, Germany, France and Malaysia.

Recipients benefit from tuition payment, bench fees (where applicable), flight ticket, health insurance, living allowance and other approved expenses.

 Eligibility Criteria

  • Must be a Nigerian citizen eligible for the NYSC or in service where applicable.

  • Be applying for an MSc or PhD programme relevant to oil & gas (or expansion of related knowledge) at a PTDF‑approved institution.

  • Must have specified qualifications (for MSc: first degree minimum 2nd class lower; for PhD: postgraduate degree or equivalent).

  • Must submit a research proposal (for PhD) that aligns with the industry/mandate.

  • Ensure no duplicative funding (i.e., applicants already sponsored for same or lower level may be ineligible).
